W atch the documentary, We Cried Power
Thursday, June 18, 1pm PT / 4 pm ET
We Cried Power is a 45-minute documentary that tells the story of the origins of the Poor People's Campaign, inspired by the work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. over 50 years ago.  Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II and Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis revived that history and WILPF signed on immediately to help finish this unfinished work.

Join us to watch the movie together this Thursday.  We'll take time to share what we're doing in our branches to engage folks in this campaign and get fired up for Saturday, June 20, 2020, the largest (virtual) march Washington has ever seen.

A movement for this moment; a moment in this movement. . .

From Washington State to Florida, Burlington, Vermont to the border, people are coming together to confront the interlocking evils of systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation, militarism and the war economy, and the distorted moral narrative of religious nationalism.

We understand that as a nation we are at a critical juncture. We understand that we need a movement that will shift the moral narrative, affect policies and elections at every level of government, and build lasting power.

We rise as a moral fusion movement to build power, build moral activism, build voter participation, and. . .

We won't be silent anymore!

Forward together!
