TIDBITS / NEWS / EVENTS

I rode the new Triumph Tiger 900GT PRO this morning and that new engine just rocks. It has a throaty sound and the new electronic rear suspension makes it ride like a Cadillac. When this situation we are in blows over I want to take longer rides! As with many of you, any and all trips I had planned this year, both overseas and domestically have been cancelled.

With that said I am planning and preparing to take motorcycle trips and am researching the perfect motorcycle to do them on. I am older now and comfort has become more of a priority than performance and looks. That doesn’t mean I want a huge couch with wheels I still want a bike that is light and performs well with both with power and handling. I just want to be more comfortable now!
I have an affinity for the Triumph Tigers and I have done a lot of miles enjoying the Tiger 800 XRX Low. This new 900 is now my choice for my upcoming rides.

This new Tiger 900 with it’s great engine, electronic suspension, light weight and good wind protection is going to make my trips very enjoyable. That plus my electrically heated jacket and gloves, my Sena helmet communication system and the great friends and loved ones I’m going with is what life is all about.
Cyndy will be on her Triumph Tiger XRX800 Low, Bill will be on his Triumph Tiger 1050 and Tommy will be the lone man out on his new Ducati Streetfighter.

2020 Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro And Rally Pro
For 2020,  Triumph  sharpens its claws and upgrades its most adventurous model. The new Tiger is bigger, better, lighter, and sells the dream of limitless adventure.

Triumph has redesigned the new Tiger 900 from the ground up. The design channels Triumph’s classic British adventure styling combined with a more modern, sinuous silhouette and a slimmer headlight cluster. These updates were inspired by Rodolfo Frascoli’s Triumph Tiger Tramontana concept, built for the Panafrica Rally.
The naming convention also changes: the XC and XR are dropped and two new versions join the base model. The GT is equipped with a set of 19-inch wheels while the Rally is fitted with spoke-wire rims and a 21-inch front wheel.

While the base model keeps its five-inch screen, the two higher trim levels receive a seven-inch TFT display. They can also be outfitted with the PRO package that adds MyTriumph connectivity, Shift Assist, a customizable riding mode, heated seat and grips, as well as tire pressure monitoring.
The Tiger 900’s new engine is nestled inside the steel trellis frame. Triumph’s entry in the crossover segment now features an upgraded 888cc inline triple. The displacement was increased by increasing the bore from 74 to 78 mm while the size of the block remained unchanged, a feat achieved by fusing the barrels.
