Downtown Syracuse Business Owners,

We hope this message finds you safe and healthy.

Over the past three weeks, as the coronavirus has impacted public health, the health of our businesses and social interaction, we have dedicated these weekly Business Resource emails to sharing the latest legislation, financing opportunities, and technical assistance with you. *For a recap of these programs, please visit our Business Resources COVID-19 page at https://downtownsyracuse.com/covid-19-resources.

For this week's Business Resources newsletter, we want to hear from each of you - specifically, what do you and your business need during these challenging times?

For example, do you need help:
  • Understanding and accessing the new COVID-19 grants and loan programs?
  • Marketing your current offerings (take-out, online sales, etc.)?
  • Accessing peer support/networking with other businesses experiencing similar challenges?
  • Finding free, professional mentoring and business expertise?

Our team participates in daily discussions with the SBA, Empire State Development, the NY Department of Labor, Onondaga County, the City of Syracuse, CenterState CEO, and other economic development partners to share resources, updates, and understanding of new programs. If you have questions, we have answers (or can help you find them!).

The Downtown Committee is your extra set of hands, day-to-day and in times of crisis. We're here to help - let us know how best to help you. Simply respond to this email, or call our Director of Economic Development, Heather Schroeder, at (315) 412-7878.

The Retail Council of New York launched a new online resource for businesses. Retailnewyork.com is a platform for businesses across New York State that are continuing to conduct e-commerce during COVID-19. Simply fill out the quick online form and put your business's website before a state-wide audience. Restaurants that sell products online (e.g. coffee beans, packaged sauces, t-shirts, gift cards, etc.) are also welcome to sign up. For additional questions, contact the Retail Council's representative, Alicia Artessa, at [email protected].
