The World Affairs Councils of America is excited to welcome all of you to the WACA 2021 National Conference this November 16-19 at The Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC, where we will celebrate our 35th Anniversary as a national association!

We encourage Councils to promote the Conference and WACA's 35th Anniversary locally and on social media. Councils that fill 6-seat tables at the Conference will receive premium seating on a first come, first served basis. When registering, make sure to list your Council affiliation!

Under the auspices of Wunderbar Together 2021, the World Affairs Councils of America, the American Council on Germany, and Atlantik-Brücke partner with World Affairs Councils across the country to hold a series of virtual events that will focus on challenges to democracy in Germany, Europe, and the United States. Experts discussed the causes of this democratic malaise, analyzed the threats, and examined what can be done to push back against those pressures – with a view to the exploration of how Europe and the U.S. can better collaborate on these issues. Originally scheduled for Thursday, July 8, at 3:00 PM ET, WACA has rescheduled this Best Practices Session for Thursday, October 14, at 3:00 PM ET. We will take a look at how Councils might join forces with related organizations or institutions in order to advance their mission.

The next WACA Best Practices will take place on Thursday, September 30, 3:00 PM ET on the topic of Boards, Governance, and Volunteers. More details to be announced.
