Dear Friends,

On behalf of the Christ Church Reopening Task Force, I have some exciting news to report.

We have been in weekly conversations with Bishop Rodman and Bishop Hodges-Copple, who are in charge of policy decisions for our Diocese. Based on these conversations, we have received permission to begin opening the Church for scheduled prayer time, and to begin outdoor worship on the Church grounds in small group gatherings, including small weddings, funerals, and baptisms. We hope to begin these new in-person worship experiences in July. In the next few weeks we will send details about how you and your family can participate.

We are currently working to develop plans for meaningful and safe worship. You can anticipate safety protocols, including masks, social distancing, and other measures at each experience. We will continue to be guided by our Bishops' directives and closely watch the metrics of health officials. The safety of our congregation remains our number one priority.

During this time, we will continue to offer online worship experiences, and we look forward to providing even more online offerings in the months to come.

We are eager to gather with you in our Spiritual Home. Thank you for your patience and generosity during these unprecedented times. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me or any member of the Task Force.

I look forward to seeing you in the coming weeks.

Faithfully yours,
Chip
