As part of the Life Sciences Building Celebration, you're invited to participate in the Science Snaps photo competition during the week of March 31 through April 5, 2019. You can enter the competition by completing challenges and posting your results on social media with challenge-specific hashtags. Four grand prize winners will be selected for their submissions' creativity, humor, Aggie Spirit, and scientific subject matter.

Graduating Seniors are invited to participate in the main commencement ceremony on Thursday, May 2nd at 9 am in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum . The College of Science convocation will follow that day (May 2nd) at 2:30 pm in the Chase Fine Arts Center's Daines Concert Hall.

You can purchase your cap and gown at the USU Graduation Fair in the USU Campus Store on Wednesday, March 20th from 9 am to 5 pm.

Student Research Symposium
The Student Research Symposium is Utah State University’s largest showcase of student research. SRS both celebrates student research and improves each student’s ability to communicate their research.

SRS will take place in the Merrill-Cazier Library from 9 am to 5 pm on Wednesday, April 10 and Thursday, April 11.

Student Research Awards Ceremony
Students present their work in short talks, posters, visual arts exhibitions, and performances at SRS and get feedback from judges on their work. The most highly rated presenters in each broad disciplinary category are recognized at the Student Awards Ceremony on Friday, April 12 at 12:30 pm in the USU Library.
Registration for the Fall 2019 Semester is quickly approaching (April 8th - April 11th). Mark your calendar, meet with your advisor and make a plan to stay on track.
Each year, the college awards ten Undergraduate Research Minigrants . The award period will be for one semester: Summer 2019, Fall 2019, or Spring 2020. Awardees receive a College of Science stipend of $750 plus department-matched funds of $250 for a total of $1000.

Applicants must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors with a declared major in the College of Science. The application requires a faculty research mentor at Utah State University and a letter of support. Preference will be given to applicants who are pursuing their first research experience.

Be sure to apply before the deadline on April 1, 2019.

Join Utah State University President Noelle Cockett and College of Science Dean Maura Hagan on Friday, April 5th, 2019 at 1 pm for the Life Sciences Building Celebration in Logan, Utah. Following a brief program in the LSB's main lecture hall (LSB133), refreshments will be served.

Following the main celebration, the creators of artwork featured in the Life Sciences Building will host " A Conversation with the Artists " at 4:30 pm in LSB133.
