Phase 2 Directives were released by the Arkansas Department of Health on Friday afternoon. The Recreation Department Staff is updating amenity plans for pickleball, the outdoor pool, fitness center and indoor pool under these directives.
Phase 2 plans will be implemented on Friday, June 19, 2020.
POA Offices now open to walk-in traffic
On Monday, June 15, the Hot Springs Village POA Offices will open to walk-in traffic. The number of people that can enter the building is limited for people to adhere to the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines. The public is required to register with the front desk and have their temperature taken when entering this building, masks are not required but are strongly encouraged.
State of Arkansas
Arkansas COVID-19 increase with 416 positive cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. That increases the cumulative number of cases to 12,917.
Of the positive cases in Arkansas, 4,383 are considered active. Currently 206 people are hospitalized, of which 45 are on ventilators. So far, 182 people have died, an increase of three deaths since yesterday. Arkansas considers 8,362 of the cases to be recovered. So far in June, Arkansas has tested 68,069 people of its 120,000 goal.
Hutchinson said that he signed an executive order as far as business liability immunity. This shifts the liability for catching the virus onto the community instead of a business and its employees. As of today, businesses and employees in Arkansas are immune to liability in regards to consumers catching the virus. Hutchinson said that it will be assumed that businesses are following guidelines as far as coronavirus spread and that there will be exceptions as far as negligence.

Saline & Garland Counties
As of Thursday, Saline County, 174 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Saline County and 5,826 have tested negative. Of those testing positive, 124 have recovered. The death total remains at two.
In Garland County, 162 people have tested positive for COVID-19 and 4,793 have tested negative. Of the people infected, 135 have recovered and one has died.
Cancellations & Postponements
