Candidate Q&A Meetings for KCC Congregation
Listed below are two remaining Q&A meetings with Pastor Chris and Mary Mendez. They will be held in the Fellowship Center. These are wonderful opportunities to speak with them about their passion for ministry at Knollwood.

Location: Fellowship Center
Come join your church family for a night of food and fellowship! We will be holding a church-wide Chili Cook-Off and Game Night on Saturday evening, February 29, 2020. Please use the sign up below to indicate how many people in your family will attend, and what you are able to contribute to dinner. Hot dogs and drinks will be supplied by the church. We will have a friendly competition for the following categories:
- Best Chili
- Best Dessert
- Best Dessert made by a child (Grade 6 and younger)
**If you plan to enter one of our competitions, please plan to bring your entry by no later than 4:45 p.m. Judging will take place at 5:00 p.m. and dinner will begin at 5:15 p.m. Winners will be announced at the end of the evening.
Everyone will eat dinner together in the Fellowship Center, and then childcare will be offered for kids (babies through Grade 1) during the games portion of the evening. Games will be in the Fellowship Center, and Childcare will be in the Family Center. If you have any questions, please contact Katie Conaway (

CMA Day of Prayer
Tuesday, March 3, 2020
Come join us for the Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) Day of Prayer in Washington, DC!
All are welcome to attend. If you are a member of CMA, please wear your colors.
We will pray for our elected and appointed officials
in the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of our federal government.

Preschool Registration
Knollwood Preschool registration is now open to our church family. We offer two, three, and five-day programs for children ages 3-5.

February Mission Focus-Michelle Foster (Reliant)
Michelle Foster serves with Sojourn College Ministry in Louisville, KY. She works with college students at the University of Louisville, seeking to reach them with the Gospel, build them up as His church and send them out into the world. She serves the college ministry by discipling young women, reaching out to students on campus and providing administrative support.
Please pray for:
- The community group that Michelle and her husband, Ben, lead on campus. There are many students in their group who are figuring out what they believe; pray they come to follow Jesus!
- The student leadership team's goal to have 300 gospel conversations by the end of the semester - they are about 1/6 of the way there!

Bowling!!
Lots of Strikes
We had 20 students come out for bowling on Sunday night. We had a great time with lots of strikes and spares! Special thanks to Ben, Beth and Travis for helping us take over five bowling lanes. Stay tuned for next month's fun outing!
What's Coming Up!
Breakfast & Games - February 23
Grades 7-12 are invited to meet up before the worship service from 9:00-10:00 a.m. for breakfast and games in the KSM room.
Service Sunday - February 23
There will be NO KSM on February 23. Instead, students are invited to attend the worship service or to volunteer in a ministry. Contact Mary Mendez ([email protected]) if you need help finding a place to volunteer.

Stretch Your Faith 2020 - Join Us Now
Improve your physical and spiritual fitness this year.
Winter Quarter
Jan 7 to April 2 - Tuesdays at 6:15 pm and Thursdays 1:30 pm in the Fellowship Center.
Winter scripture focus is Strong and Fearless.
Classes are for adult men and women looking to improve fitness and find stress relief while giving glory to the Lord. This is an "all levels" class so beginners will feel right at home. This ministry is a Christian-based class taught by Sandy Rogers and Natalie Sarigianis, certified yoga instructors from the Christian ministry Holy Yoga (for mission statement, visit
www.holyyoga.net)

Inclement Weather
As we head into the winter season, please note:
If there is a need to cancel Sunday activities due to snow, a notice to that effect will be on the Knollwood website. Click on the word "ALERTS" at the top right portion of the home page. It will also be posted on our Facebook page (
@KnollwoodCC)
If we cancel, the notice will be posted as soon as we make that decision. If no cancellation notice is there, we will have services as usual. (Hopefully we will be able to make that decision by Saturday evening).
During the week, the church follows the Fairfax County Public School lead. If the schools close, then any regularly scheduled meetings, Bible studies, etc. will be cancelled.
