Restoration Gateway currently has about 500 people relying on RG Uganda to support them and their families. Though most of what is needed comes from the generosity and selfless giving of our donors, by the grace of God an increasing amount of funding is being generated here at RG.
There are presently 30 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Uganda. RG has worked ardently for weeks to make it possible to put RG in lockdown, allowing workers who so choose to shelter in place safely here and also continue to receive the salaries so necessary for the livelihood of their families.
In compliance with the Ugandan government’s directive that all schools remain closed for 30 days, Restoration Gateway’s schools are closed. RG has mandated our children and moms to stay within their respective families, interacting only with people in their home unit.
Because of the confinement measures we have put in place for those staying at RG, a new road has been built going directly to our hospital, segregating outside people needing the hospital’s services from those staying at RG.
