DolphinFest
DolphinFest, Dogwood PTO's annual spring festival, will take place (rain or shine!) on Saturday, March 7th! From 10am to 2pm, the halls of the school will be filled with fun and games galore for kids of all ages! Come make lasting memories with the whole family, by enjoying inflatables, carnival games, concessions, and silent auction.

online. Items will be sent home with students the week of March 2nd.
DolphinFest is the PTO's largest fundraiser. Proceeds allow us to support our amazing school and teachers, while also providing free, fun family events like Family Movie Night, the Dolphin Tale Ball and the Mother/ Son Dance, and so much more!

Dogwood's Got Talent
This event will showcase the talents of our school! It is open to all DES students (kindergarten through 5th grade).
Starting February 18th, pick up an application form from outside Ms. Boyd or Ms. Teel's room.
Applications are due by March 13, 2020. Turn in an application to get an email with sign-ups for audition slots.
Audition dates are March 31, April 1, and April 2. There will be a workshop on April 23rd and a dress rehearsal on April 29th. The show will be on April 30th.

Friendly Safety Reminders
Safety reminders from Officer Hall:
- U-turns are not permissible on Dogwood Road.
- Only park in designated parking areas. Please do not park in No Parking zones.
- The parking lot on Dogwood Road is closed to traffic during arrival and dismissal for buses. Parents should not pull into the Dogwood Road parking lot to drop off or pick up students.
Thank you for your cooperation. We all want to keep our kids safe.

Health Room
We are in the midst of cold and flu season! Please consider
signing up for a shift in the Health Room. Volunteers will be assisting students with minor medical issues like issuing band aids and ice packs. This allows Nurse Maddie to tend to the students requiring more medical attention. No medical experience is necessary to volunteer. Thank you!

Strategic Plan Town Hall For Public Feedback on March 31st
District staff and school board members will present the first draft of the GMSD 2025 Strategic Plan on March 31st from 6 pm - 8 pm at a townhall meeting. Staff will be available to collect public feedback. Following the town hall meeting, the draft plan will be published at
www.gmsdk12.org. The community is also invited to provide feedback via our online platform at that time.
