28th Annual Chanukah Toy Drive

 Emergency Supply Packages (ESP) November 19 to December 15
We are creating 100 winter emergency supply packages for Meals on Wheels recipients and others supported by Jewish Family Services in our community. Winter weather can make it impossible for them to receive their needed delivery of food.  Many of the recipients are Holocaust survivors.

Rabbi Capers C. Funnye, Jr. is Chief Rabbi of the International Israelite Board of Rabbis. In addition, he is rabbi and spiritual leader of Beth Shalom B’nai Zaken Ethiopian Hebrew Congregation in Chicago and a long-time member of the Chicago Board of Rabbis. may be purchased for $360 each.
Any new or existing plaque may be enhanced with pictures, biographies/stories and links to plaques of relatives for $180 each after that.
Memorial Wall sponsors of $1800 are entitled to 2 free plaques with enhancements.

Sisterhood Torah Fund Pins Updated 
Due to the COVID-19 situation, new Torah Fund pins have been delayed. This year's theme is "B'Yachad" (together) which is so appropriate as together we support the future of Judaism. All donations are appreciated. Donating to Torah Fund supports the schools that educate rabbis, cantors and Jewish scholars throughout the world. Synagogue Skills Learning Institute
Have you ever wanted to learn to read Torah? Have you ever wanted to learn to read Hebrew? To enrich your experience at the Fair Lawn Jewish Center, instruction will now be available for Torah Reading lessons; Haftarah hanting; How to daven various services, such as Minha & Ma'ariv; Learning the b'rakhot; and How to develop skills to follow shabbat services more easily. A corps of mentors are ready and willing to begin instruction on your schedule.
