College news, next steps, thank you for your engagement
Friends and colleagues;

Thanks to hundreds of you who have engaged with ITGA in recent days, from inputs on a myriad of time-sensitive listserve questions, to participation in our new "ITGA Connects" series. ITGA's growth has never been more robust or essential.

Well before current events changed our daily work lives, ITGA created an outreach committee, a revamped newsletter, an intern program, and other member-friendly initiatives that make us more engaged and nimble. None of us knew how valuable these resources would be in 2020.
As we tackle current realities and progressive next steps, few will be surprised that ITGA will be cancelling our traditional in-person conference set for Boulder, CO, June 1-3. Of equal importance - after hearing from members - is that ITGA's can-do spirit will now be channeled into a virtual conference, specs and date tbd shortly, but this summer for sure. You will be hearing from me and ITGA on this topic with regularity in the coming days and weeks.

We invite your ideas and comments to make this a stand-out responsive conference that reflects both ITGA today and tomorrow.

In the very near future, we will also provide more starter information on the virtual conference. This will include answers on common questions about how to participate, and related specs on costs, registrations, refunds, and general inquiries. This will be a work in progress, but time sensitive clarity will lead throughout. So, in short, stay tuned and send immediate questions to susan@itga.org .

Finally, last week myself and other colleagues worldwide joined an early morning call (by ET standards!) regarding COVID-19 and the student housing sector in Nordic/European countries. There was a great exchange of new information and surveys from the UK and beyond, and a related article will be published on nsbo.eu this week. Thanks so much to Cooper Healey, ITGA member from Manchester Student Homes, who chairs uktga.org , an extension of the ITGA, and asked (successfully) if I could join this call, too. This meeting represented just a slice of ITGA today and responsive engagement, a growing and needed point of leadership in challenging times.

So again, thank you for your inputs and staying in touch, and hopes for your good health, at every level, moving forward.
