A few years ago, I recorded an interview with Heiner Fruehauf, Ph.D. on the topic, “Ascending and Descending." There are many things I admire about Heiner, but chief among them perhaps is that he keeps studying, opening himself to new ideas and theories. He shares this quality with my main mentor, Jeffrey Dann, Ph.D. With Jeffrey it is even more impressive, when one considers that he has almost 20 years on Heiner. Both of them are models of studentship and scholarship.
