Be aware, according to a news report this morning:
“Walmart, the United States’ largest retailer, has started regulating the number of customers that can be in each store at once and plans to institute one-way movement in its aisles.
Beginning Saturday,
the company said n
o more than five customers per 1,000 square feet are allowed in a store at any given time — about 20 percent of each location’s capacity. Customers will line up at one door and be admitted one at a time as people exit the store.
Next week, several stores will also use floor markers and directions from employees to make their aisles one-way to limit the chances of customers coming into close contact with each other.
Walmart joins many other large retailers, which have added new safety measures to mitigate the effects of the coronavirus outbreak. Some of Walmart’s primary competitors, including Costco and Target, are also limiting the number of customers in their stores at one time.”
