Our Companion Synod Guests
Pastor Moses Nwaka and Pastor Eliud Payowela

It is with great pleasure that the Global Mission Committee is finally able to announce that we will have two guests with us from the Ulanga Kilombero Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania. Pastor Moses is the assistant to the bishop of our partner diocese. Pastor Eliud (el-ee-ood) is the Second Headmaster of the Tumaini Lutheran Secondary School. They will be here for our synod assembly and will also spend many weeks traveling throughout our synod. We know that you will enjoy a chance to meet them, spend time with them, and hear about our companion synod. They are wonderful servants of God.
If you want to be sure to meet them, please check with your cluster and encourage (and help!) to host a cluster event. This gathering would be an opportunity for Pastors Moses and Eliud to bring their story to several congregations at one time. A draft schedule has already been given to each cluster, outlining their travels throughout the synod.
Additionally, they will be visiting Holden Village from May 1 to 6. While there, they will present at least two sessions about Tanzania and our relationship.
