Won't You Be...My Neighbor?
|
|
We are endeavoring to
strengthen the “connective tissue”
of our CGS family in many ways, particularly during this COVID-19 season. This viral disease reminds us
acutely
of what God intends his Church to be
always
: the body of Christ, working and ministering
together
corporately (1 Corinthians 12:25-27).
You can participate
by becoming particularly aware of those CGS members who live in your Neighborhood.

for more info, and to view the map of our six different CGS Neighborhoods.

Mae Harrington is seeking help from someone in the church congregation who rents houses or knows somebody in that industry. Mae, along with her son, daughter, and granddaughter have to find a new home to rent. Her current lease
expires May 18
and she has to be out of her current apartment by that date. Seeking a four-bedroom house, preferably Durham/Chapel Hill area, around $1,600/month. If you have any leads for rental houses, please

Durham Rescue Mission Meal Update
|
|
While the quarantine persists, CGS will use Mercy Ministry funds to subsidize our monthly meal contribution to the Durham Rescue Mission. When quarantine is lifted, we will resume participating in-person, “hands-on” as is our normal custom. For the April 19 meal, we are looking at providing a large order of Bojangles’ chicken that can be picked up and delivered to the kitchen door of the mission. The mission’s kitchen crew will provide the rest of the meal.
