Vote for Your Best of Westchase Favorites thru April 26

The nominations have been gathered and the candidates have been selected, now there's only one thing missing from our Best of Westchase online contest: YOUR VOTES!

Click here to cast your ballot in two dozen categories that celebrate the best that Westchase District has to offer. Who do you think has the best office lobby? Who has the best happy hour? What is the best hair salon/barbershop? Where is the best place to hide from your boss in Westchase District?

Online voting is open through Friday, April 26, and each category still has a space for write-in candidates. We'll announce the winners, present them with a commemorative plaque and buy each of them an appetizer at a happy hour event in early May (details to follow soon). Also, we'll have a special results section in the Summer 2019 issue of Westchase Today. So what are you waiting for? Give us your best!

Quillian Summer Camps Start May 28, Run 7 am. - 7 p.m.

Worried you won't get to spend time with your child this summer? Consider enrolling your child in Camp Quillian and benefit from having your child attend a summer camp within minutes from work.

For 60 years, the Quillian Recreation Center has provided incredible summer camp experiences for children and teens ages 5 - 14. For 2019, the center has extended its camp day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Accredited by the American Camp Association, Camp Quillian offers both full- and half-day options. Quillian Center has many resources to keep children engaged, such as a gymnasium, two swimming pools, an indoor climbing wall, game rooms, athletic fields and a playground. Programs include indoor and outdoor sports, enrichment classes, arts and crafts, special events, guest speakers, VBS and more.

Quillian Center is extending its preferred employer partner program to Westchase District businesses. By participating in the program, families can save 15% on each session of summer camp at Camp Quillian. In order for employees to receive the 15% off, five or more families must sign up for at least one week of Camp Quillian at quilliancenter.org using their work email. For more details, contact Kelly Carlisle, 713-458-4712.
