The contractor has completed the north half of the Industrial Spur Road. The remainder will have to wait until Detroit Edison can relocate the existing power poles. The contractor now has the new Crescent Boulevard ready to start pouring concrete. This concrete work will take approximately 2 to 3 weeks to complete. The concrete panels at the intersection of Novi Road and Crescent Boulevard are now being placed on hold for removal and replacement until the spring of 2020.
Estimated completion date: June 15, 2020

The contractor has closed Flint Street (gravel portion), from Grand River to Novi Road. A bulk of the earthwork and grading has taken place, but now the contractor is currently stopped until Detroit Edison and associated franchise utilities can relocate their facilities out of the limits of the roadway. The contractor has also completed the underground storm water detention system along the north end of Flint Street. The contractor will begin installing the new, permanent storm sewer from Novi Road. The entrance into the plaza with Panera Bread will need to be closed for up to two days while this work is being performed.
Estimated completion date: June 15, 2020

All of the concrete work, to include curb and gutter and sidewalks have been completed at the intersection of West Oaks Drive and Donelson Drive. Early next week, the contractor will begin milling this intersection, making repairs to the milled surface and placing the asphalt top course.
Estimated completion date: November 8, 2019

The contractor is expected to be complete with the open-cut sections of sanitary sewer, west of Garfield this week. Over the next couple of weeks, the contractor will be upgrading the size and location of the dewatering system in order to better handle the amount of ground water encountered to date. With this upgrade, we expect to see more progress in the coming months on the directional drilling segments west of Beck Road.
Estimated completion date: June 30, 2020

The contractor plans to perform the final joint sealing of the newly placed concrete on Friday, Nov. 1 for the Cranbrooke Drive bridge. The bridge will be reopened upon completion of the joint sealing, probably in the afternoon on Friday.
