#1 Staying on Top of Impact Fees to Protect Your Investment & Keep Housing Affordable
The City of Tucson is currently in the process of restructuring its impact fees schedule. Impact fees are assessed to all new residential, multi-family and commercial buildings. The intent is the funds are used to off-set the “impact” of that growth on parks, roads, libraries and police/fire. The law requires the funds be spent on necessary public services. There also must be a direct benefit to the fee payer.

We are working diligently with City officials to ensure both will happen. If fees are too high, and not spent in a way that increases the livability for the home buyer paying the fee, builders may not be able to make their projects feasible and/or affordable for the end user.

#5 Golf Tournament Selects Care Fund as Charity
The SAHBA Charity Golf Tournament is set for September 6th at the Omni Tucson National Golf Resort.

This year, a portion of the proceeds will go to Care Fund (Tucson). Care Fund has been helping families across Arizona for almost a decade.

Their mission: providing mortgage or rent assistance during a child’s extended health crisis. They strive to help meet the needs of families who find themselves emotionally destroyed, financially harmed, alone, and mentally incapable of dealing with what they believe is the most helpless situation imaginable — when their child faces a fight for their life. Families can turn to Care Fund for caring, resources and support.
