The event begins at 6pm at ICS in Morris. Ag Jeopardy serves as the grand finally for the Grundy County AITC program, testing the knowledge of our schools against each other through competitive activities and quizzes. Grundy County Foundation Scholarships Awarded Listed above are the students selected to receive scholarships from the Grundy County Foundation. The committee received a record number of applications this year and would like to thank every student who took the time to apply and our generous supporters who make these scholarships possible. Passing of Verna Jean Purdue We are saddened to share the passing of Verna Jean Purdue, wife of the late Bob Purdue who was Manager of Grundy County Farm Bureau from 1952-1986.  Verna taught history and current events at Morris Community High School for 27 years, impacting countless students. She was a vibrant part of the Morris community where she lived for over 50 years. Friends and family are invited to attend visitation at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive, Morris, from 10:00 a.m. until a funeral service at 12:00 p.m., and burial at Evergreen Cemetary immediately following the service on Saturday, April 20, 2019 in Morris, IL. April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month At 55 miles per hour, it takes only five seconds to close a gap the length of a football field between you and a tractor moving five miles per hour. As we enter spring planting season in Illinois, it is imperative to eliminate distractions in your vehicle and pay attention to farm equipment on the roadway. Join us to help save lives.
