Happy Summer!

It's been a while since we've sent along a non-COVID- focused note, and it feels good! We've been busy with practice, teaching, and writing this year. While COVID-19 impacted us all, and we're not entirely out of the woods, it feels right to also share other elements to our lives and our work with you.

The necessity to adjust to an entirely online course format in 2020 has been transformative for NESH. So many more people were able join us and we were able to offer greater flexibility for study. It was a steep learning curve but Paul, with logistical support from Kim McGuire (our long time NESH administrator), created a virtual option for the NESH course that our students are now enjoying. We hope this will help spread the word of our wonderful, gentle, effective medicine and we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible for in-person-learning in the future!

We remain eternally grateful for our work, this livelihood, and the people it brings to our lives. We are ever inspired and our goals are achieved whenever you take any of the material we share and use it to help yourself, a loved one, a patient, or a friend.

Below is a patient story of Amy's that illustrates some of the challenges of the prescribing cascade, an ever present reality for many patients and families. Homeopathy and natural medicine have such important roles to play vis a vis reversing the over-prescription of pharmaceuticals and the lack of training in de-prescribing. Read on for the story and the results.

We've also increasingly been spending time, in person, with family and friends, as well as tackling house and yard projects. We've been more out and about lapping up the clear, sunny, warm days of New England summer, the bracing swims in local ponds, the night sky, and let's not forget, the pleasures of eating out! We hope that you are able to enjoy some down time this summer and perhaps a return to some of the people, places, and experiences you missed this long, challenging year. On to brighter times!

All the best,
