GREETINGS!

Registration is open online for summer day camps, swim lessons, tennis clinics and more. Your proof of residency must be updated prior to registering! Cos Cob Preschool is accepting registration for the 2019-2020 school year. The Greenwich Women's Town Tennis Team is having tryouts in May at Binney Park. For residents in financial need, scholarships are available for youth programs; read more below. The Annual Kite Flying Festival is coming up soon on April 27 and the Jim Fixx Memorial Day races are one month later. For a listing of upcoming community events from March to May, click here.

Online Registration is Open.
Your Proof of Residency Must be Updated Prior to Registering!!

Online registration is only available to Greenwich residents. Greenwich residents are required to provide proof of residency once per calendar year for all Parks and Recreation programs.
Kamp Kairphree is for children ages 5-12, and it operates out of the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center in Old Greenwich. There are four two-week sessions, beginning June 24.
Summer Adventurers, for ages 8-15, operates out of the Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center in Glenville. The program is split into two sessions, totaling seven weeks. This day camp begins June 25 and has one special field trip per week. Some sections are already CLOSED.
Music, Art and Dance Camp is for children entering grades 4-9. Music and Art will have an afternoon Dance option in summer 2019! To enroll in afternoon Art or Dance, one must also be enrolled in morning Art or Music. The program runs July 1- August 2.
The "Big Three" day camps will each require a Camp Health Exam form to be completed.

Register online for Youth and Adult Tennis Clinic Instruction. Tennis instruction is held for ages four years through adult. Clinics are held Monday through Thursday. You can register for one or more weeks, from June 3-6 through July 29-Aug. 1. Our Summer Camps Brochure also provides details on Summer Soccer held in cooperation with Soccer Extreme . The BWGCC will be hosting Mad Science Summer Programs over three separate weeks and a Hi-Five Sports Camp the week of June 17-21.
Summer Swim Lessons will be held for youth from ages four and up at the Greenwich Pool in Byram Park. Eight, one-half hour group lessons will be held on Mondays through Thursdays with a rain date of Friday, for two consecutive weeks. Register for classes running July 8-18, July 22- August 1, and August 5-15.
Cos Cob Community Preschool

Registration is open for the Cos Cob Community Preschool 2019-2020 year. Classes are held Monday-Friday, and will operate for a longer day from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at 54 Bible Street in Cos Cob. The Preschool is licensed by the State of CT and is reasonably priced. For information, send an email.
Kite Flying Festival

The Annual Kite Flying Festival will be held Saturday, April 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Greenwich Point Park. Read more and download the flyer. The event is hosted by Greenwich Parks and Recreation, the India Cultural Center, the Greenwich Arts Council, and Smart Kids Toys.
Greenwich Chamber of Commerce Business Showcase

Come to the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center on Thursday, April 25 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. for the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce Business Showcase. It is the largest business networking event of the year. Greenwich Recreation will be represented. Tickets cost $20 for Chamber members and $30 for non-members and can be purchased at GreenwichChamber.com Download the flyer. Greenwich Education Group

Greenwich Education Group will host its tenth annual Private Day & Boarding School Fair on Tuesday, May 14, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center. The fair is free, open to the public, and serves to acquaint families with top-ranked independent day and boarding schools from throughout the USA and Canada. Representatives from more than 100 schools will be on hand to engage with prospective students and their families. Proceeds from the fair will benefit the Town of Greenwich Dept. of Parks and Recreation Scholarship Fund, which provides low-income families with access to summer camp and sports programs. Spring Youth Soccer

Limited openings remain in certain age groups for Mighty Mites Spring Soccer which will be held on Saturdays for boys and girls ages 3 through 9. This is a fun, recreational, co-ed program which will focus on the fundamentals of soccer including passing, dribbling, trapping, and shooting through skill work and modified games. Separate times are offered for age groups. Registration is only accepted in-person at Town Hall.

In cooperation with Soccer Extreme, we also offer soccer clinics on Saturdays for ages 9-12; on Mondays for ages 4-12; and on Fridays for ages 4-12. Summer Clinics are offered too!
Spring Youth Baseball

In-person registration is open on a limited basis for some spring sports for youth. Co-ed T-ball is available for age 5 and Small Fry I Baseball is for age 6.
CT Boating Course

Become a Skilled Boater: Sail, Power, Paddle, Jet Ski. This boating course offered on two dates in May qualifies you for a CT Boating Certificate + PWC/Jet Ski certificate. For more information, email or call Susan Ryan at 203-998-1864.
Greenwich Skatepark

In April, the Skatepark is open weekdays from 3:30 - 7:00 p.m. and weekends 12:30 - 7:00 p.m. The park is located at the foot of Arch Street. We have Information on Summer Ramp Camps, too. For weather issues call 203-496-9876.

Memorial Day
Running Races

Save the date of Monday, May 27 for the 55th running of the Jim Fixx Memorial Day running races. The five mile race begins at 8:15 a.m. on Greenwich Avenue by Elm Street. The Kids 1/2 mile run will be held on the track at Havemeyer Field behind Town Hall starting about 9:15 a.m. Download the flyer. For registration information, click here.

National Alliance for Youth Sports

Greenwich Recreation is a member organization of NAYS. We provide free training through the NAYS website to our staff and volunteers and any resident interested in learning how to make sports better for youth. Scholarships for Youth

The Parks and Recreation Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to income eligible resident families for participation in youth activities. Scholarship applications must be submitted a minimum of 3 weeks prior to the start of the program.
Eastern Greenwich Civic Center

The EGCC has several on-going programs including Greenwich Archery, Green Moon Children's Art Studio, Wednesday Painters, fitness classes, and Friday night roller skating. Roller skating will be held April 26 from 7:00 - 9:30 p.m. Admission is $10 and includes skates. Call 203-637-4583 for open gym hours.

The Chamber of Commerce Business Showcase will be April 25. Special Events for May include the Tiny Tots Consignment Sale, Annual Plant Sale, and Secondary School Fair. For additional information on these and other activities in April and May, see our April Newsletter.

Bendheim Western Civic Center

During the summer, the BWGCC is hosting Mad Science Summer Programs and Hi-Five Sports Camp. This spring, DramaBee is offering theatrical fun for preschool and Kindergarten age children. Jack Rabbits Gymnastics has spring programs for toddlers and SEW HAPPY is offering a youth sewing machine school. Youth Golf Clinics will be held; registration has begun. The Dance Pointe has many programs on-going throughout the year.

Co-ed Adult Volleyball is available on a drop-in basis on Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Yoga classes and Zumba classes are offered on several weekdays at varying times. Boot Camp sessions are available Tuesdays and Thursdays. Pickleball is offered for adults on a drop-in basis.

Greenwich Special Olympics offers sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual or physical challenges.

Griffith E. Harris Golf Course

Pro Joe Felder is starting his 30th season at "The Griff". He has developed a very active teaching program, from juniors and beginners to low handicappers and champions. The two additional teaching professionals are Patrick Massi and Alex Bardani. Patrick is an accomplished PGA professional and a US Kids certified instructor. Alex is also a PGA professional and certified US Kids instructor. They have a launch monitor to fit you for clubs and improve your game. The shop is stocked with the newest equipment and apparel. They have demo clubs for you to try before you buy, with price matching guaranteed. Plus, there is a new battery pull cart that is available for rent or purchase.

"The Griff" is offering a Ladies Clinic on three dates in May. Joe Felder's 30th Annual Junior Clinic will be held the end of May. TaylorMade Demo Day is May 3rd. Men's and Ladies tournaments will be in June. For more information call 203-531-7261 or email.
Credit & Refund Policy

Credit requests for recreation program registration will be considered if received in writing prior to the start of the program. There is a $15.00 administrative fee for credits. The general policy of the Recreation Division is that we do not process refunds unless a program has been cancelled. Please read all registration information carefully and contact us prior to registering for a program if you have any questions.
Parks and Recreation Foundation
The Greenwich Parks and Recreation Foundation was set up to receive donations, allowing the community citizens and businesses an avenue to donate to the Town of Greenwich Parks & Recreation projects and programs. The foundation is a 509 (a)(1).
Through the Parks & Recreation Foundation, one is able to donate to the Parks and Recreation Scholarship Fund.
