The MOA will host the 15th Annual Autumn Scientific Convention at the Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids, Nov. 8 - 10, 2019. Network with colleagues, visit the Scientific Research Exhibit Competition and visit with exhibitors during a compelling and educational weekend. SPEAKER HIGHLIGHT:
Dr. Terrie Taylor
 
Terrie Taylor, DO, will present on International Medicine.  Dr. Taylor's battle against malaria, which she refers to as the "Voldemort of parasites," has been waged since 1986.  
An internationally recognized scientist and physician, Terrie spends six months of the year in the African nation of Malawi, conducting malaria research and treating patients, the vast majority of whom are children.  

The MOA Autumn Scientific Convention will host Dr. Taylor's presentation, "International Medicine," on Saturday, Nov. 9, 1:15 - 2:15 pm in the Ambassador East room.
 
 
Scientific Research Exhibit Competition
Cash Awards & a Chance for Fame!

The Scientific Research Exhibit (SRE) competition is accepting submissions. Cash prizes and awards await SRE presenters. The Autumn Convention SRE in Grand Rapids is growing each year. The deadline for submissions is October 1, 2019 . Participants notified by October 11 of acceptance
Competition is Saturday, November 9.

The MOA Autumn Scientific Convention in Grand Rapids is now in its 15th year. What started as a small CME event has grown to over 350 attendees, a robust Scientific Research Exhibit competition and plenty of break out events at the beautiful  Amway Grand Plaza Hotel.

This year we are encouraging our members to "Bring a Colleague!" Let us know the name of a colleague who is new to the MOA, but registering to attend the Autumn Scientific Convention and receive $50 off your registration fee.

The Amway Grand Plaza offers parking across the street in the Amway Grand Plaza Ramp,  216 Pearl Street NW. The parking structure is connected to the hotel via an enclosed skywalk. Special parking rates apply for overnight guests. Valet parking is available.

Cancellation Policy
Requests for refunds must be in writing by mail or email by October 30, 2019 and will entitle registrant to a full refund less a $50 processing fee.
 
Statement of Accreditation 
AOA Credit: The Michigan Osteopathic Association (MOA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The MOA designates this program for a maximum of 24-26 AOA category 1-A credits and will report continuing medical education and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity. 

Nurses: The AOA is approved by the Board of Nursing as an acceptable provider of continuing education for license renewal.
Outcomes Measurement Survey: 2 additional AOA Category 1-A credits offered for completing an online survey post-convention.
