Support the areas of Lakeside you love the most by volunteering
The Lakeside Chautauqua Volunteer Corps , a new initiative organized by the Lakeside Chautauqua Foundation Board, is an opportunity for Lakesiders of all ages to help fill the gap of decreased labor in Lakeside by volunteering. You may have seen these volunteers during storm cleanup and in the gardens.

COVID-19 has impacted our community in significant ways, prompting Lakeside to make difficult decisions to reduce expenses. One such decision was to reduce the number of seasonal staff hired . Due to this considerable decrease in staff, a variety of tasks across Lakeside potentially will not get done.
Join your Lakeside friends, Sally DePerro & Jack Allen
Sally DePerro and Jack Allen are Co-Directors of this initiative and look forward to hearing from you. Visit lakesideohio.com/volunteer to download a Volunteer Application today!

"Since it's been founded nearly 150 years ago, Lakeside has always had dedicated volunteers," says Jack. "The goal of this effort, driven by the budget difficulties this year, is to make the volunteer process simpler and to attract new friends and families to help out."

We’re looking for passionate and dedicated Lakesiders to step up and join our existing volunteers as part of the Volunteer Corps. More than 150 Lakesiders have already signed up, and we're so grateful for their time and dedication.

“I want volunteers to have a great experience working and helping Lakeside," says Sally. "I believe that by volunteering, you gain a deeper appreciation for Lakeside, feel a greater responsibility for our community and experience a deeper sense of belonging.”
