Chapel Rock Family Ministry Weekend Update for June 14, 2020
HIGH SCHOOL CIY MOVE/AT | FOR STUDENTS ENTERING GRADES 9-12

Although this year will look a little different than year's past, we're excited as we look forward to partnering with CIY to host this amazing event. Since March, the team at CIY has been developing a reimagined MOVE/AT. The driving idea behind it is to be able to do MOVE/MIX wherever you are at – It will look a little different than an on campus event, but the same age-intentional programming, the same Gospel-rooted teaching, small-group materials, even adapted games – the same level of thought, prayer and care that is poured into a national on campus event has been poured into this experience.

MIDDLE SCHOOL CIY MIX/AT | FOR STUDENTS ENTERING GRADES 6-8

MIX/AT is a two night, three day experience designed specifically to connect with middle school students through tactile, interactive and fun activities coupled with Bible-based teaching and small group interaction.

MIX/AT is an event that understands middle school students need their own experience. This age group is at a unique time in their lives – they’re growing and learning differently than any other age group. They’re still young enough to need to play, but old enough to start understanding some core ideas that will stay with them the rest of their lives. It’s their chance to be exactly who they are: to play, listen and learn as themselves.

At MIX, your students will come to understand their identity in God’s Kingdom and be challenged to embrace the Kingdom work He has prepared for them.

Chapel Rock Kids:

Hey Chapel Rock Kids, you should have received a summer VBS packeting the mail this past week. This packet is designed for you to host a Vacation Bible School in your neighborhood. If that's not possible for you then you'll be able to do it with your family. You can customize how in-depth you want to go on each section. There are passages for older kids to look up and read or a provided “script” that is usable for younger children. It might even be a good idea for an older child to prepare the lesson for younger kids. You can customize it to make it work for your family.

If you have any questions or need additional materials, or didn't receive a packet and would like for us to send you one, please email Sherry Schwab at sschwab@chapelrock.org

House Church Kit
Go beyond the screen by checking out our House Church kit available at chapelrock.org/resources. This kit is designed exclusively to help you prepare to join us online for the Sunday morning service streamed at 9:15a and 11a on Sundays.

The House Church kit includes scripture readings related to the message of the week, along with discussion questions for you and your family to dig into together. It's a great way to make the most of the opportunities that we have to engage with one another in this season.

The discussion questions found in the House Church Kit that go along with each week's sermon are a great way for middle school and high school students that are normally in the rhythm of engaging in discussion groups at Merge/The Vine, to engage in a conversation about the sermon as a family.

The house church kit will be uploaded/updated on Saturday of each week for the following day's message/sermon.
