Welcome Back to School!
On behalf of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Board, we want to welcome you and yours back to school! I hope everyone had a fantastic summer and great first day of the school year.

The first PTO Community meeting of the year will be held next Tuesday (September 10th) from 6:45-8:00 p.m. at the Franklin Library .

The topic is Tips, Tricks, and Slips! Learn about the school day and how to make it easier on you! Share your parenting hacks (and the flops that taught you what not to do) and ask questions of other parents. We'll talk about local and online resources about anything having to do with raising a child and we'll get to know each other. We'll share what's happening during the school day (and how you can get involved).

This is a valuable opportunity to hear directly from our wonderful principals, teachers, and guest speakers about what's going on in our schools and become engaged with our community.

Immediately prior to the PTO Community meeting, the PTO Board will hold our monthly board meeting from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Franklin Library. Attached is the agenda for your awareness. This meeting is open for any who wish to attend.

Franklin Playground & Lunch Volunteers
Help support our staff and teachers and volunteer on the playground or in the lunchroom. We can use your help for an hour every week, every other week, or as a sub. This is a great time to see your child during the day outside of their classroom. If you are interested, please email  anne.l.saracino@gmail.com  or fill out the survey .

Beds/Bedding
There is a Franklin/Randall family that could use a bed for their child and one for an adult. They could also use bedding for the beds.  Contact Katie Larsen-Klodd ( klarsenklodd@madison.k12.wi.us) if you can help!
Popcorn Volunteers Are Needed at Randall
Popcorn is offered to all Randall students approximately twice a month. Volunteers are needed on Friday (and a few Thursday) mornings to help pop the corn. Commitment is approximately 7:50-10:50 am. Please consider volunteering a few times this school year to help continue this fun Randall tradition.

Save the date, and start practicing your dance moves! The  Glow  Ball Dance will take place Saturday, Nov. 9 th    from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.  in the  Franklin Elementary Gymnasium . Enjoy fun dance music in the light of  glow bracelets.
