Governor Brad Little issued a statewide stay-home order and signed an extreme emergency declaration on March 25, 2020. The stay-home order is effective immediately and in place for 21 days. The Governor and public health officials will assess whether to extend the order near the end of the 21-day period. The official order is available on https://coronavirus.idaho.gov/.
The Stay-Home Order provides guidance on essential services. All people may leave their residences only for Essential Activities, Essential Governmental Functions, or to operate Essential Businesses. People at high risk of severe illness from COVID-19 and people who are ill are urged to stay in their homes as much as possible (except to seek medical care).
One of the Essential Businesses is Home Construction. The Order states that "individuals may leave their residence to provide any services or perform any work necessary to the operations and maintenance of Essential Infrastructure, including, but not limited to, public works construction, commercial construction, ... construction of housing ... and the transfer and selling thereof ... provided that they carry out those services or that work work in compliance with the Social Distancing Requirements ... to the extent possible."
We are aware that our community has ongoing commercial and residential construction. Each builder and subcontractor will decide how they want to proceed with their ongoing commitments, and comply with the Social Distancing Requirements, to the extent possible.
