MESSAGE FROM COACH KATEY

Hello, My name is Katey Sharpe and I am the head coach for Wee-Kicks. I am excited to have the opportunity to work with your children for the next two weeks. This is my ninth time coaching this clinic and each time brings more fun and knowledge about the age group.

One goal for this age group is for the players to develop more of their gross motor skills while being introduced to the game of soccer. However, the main goal is for the players to have fun.

There are a few items that every player will need for each session:
· Tennis shoes or soccer cleats
· Size 3 soccer ball
· Clothing that can be worn to play in
· Water (very important)
· Shin guards (safety purposes)

Please try to always have these items. Parents, I suggest that you also wear comfortable shoes and clothing, so you can participate in the sessions too! Most times, the players feel more comfortable when their parent is with them in the activities.

The sessions will be held at MUSC's Indoor Training Center (ITC) in Westover's Industrial Park off of River Road. There will be a White Subaru Legacy parked in the front of the building, if you need more help finding us.

There are the directions from MUSC's website, copied at the bottom of this note.

We are scheduled to have 4 sessions: July 1st, 3rd, 8th, and 10th. Sessions will last about 45 minutes. At the beginning of this first session, I will be checking the players in and handing out the clinic's t-shirts. Please make sure to check in and receive a t-shirt. After this minor organizational step, the session will begin.

Parents, feel free to help at any moment!

With the little ones, I have noticed that they feel more comfortable at the beginning to have a familiar face. Usually the players grow to be more comfortable with me as the clinic goes on. There is a nice amount of players signed up for this clinic, so this means there will be a lot of fun happening!

I look forward to meeting everyone and having a great two weeks of soccer. Feel free to email me with any concerns or questions. My email is  finetip10@gmail.com

Thank you, Katey Sharpe
