Miami-Dade County Emergency Order Mandates the Closure of Pools and Common Areas
All pools, hot tubs, golf courses, tennis courts, basketball courts, fitness centers, gymnasiums and other common use amenities, whether of a commercial or non-commercial nature, are closed for all purposes. Notwithstanding the foregoing, this order does not apply to any pool, hot tub, tennis court, basketball court, fitness center, gymnasium or other amenity located: (a) on a single family residential lot, or, (b) at any townhouse, duplex, or villa, and which is for the exclusive recreational or leisure use of the inhabitants of such individual dwelling unit. 


State of Florida Orders Travelers from Louisiana and the New York Tri-State Area to Quarantine/Self-Isolate for 14 Days
In Executive Order 20-86, Governor DeSantis ordered those who travel to Florida from an area with substantial community spread, to include travelers from Louisiana, to isolate or quarantine for 14 days upon entering the state. A similar order (Executive Order 20-82) was previously issued, and remains in place, for travelers from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Violation of Executive Order 20-82 or 20-86 is a second-degree misdemeanor pursuant to Section 252.50, Florida Statutes.


City of Miami Beach Revised Emergency Declaration

Restaurant Kitchens May Now Operate After Midnight for Delivery Only  — The city has revised the emergency order to allow restaurants to continue to operate their kitchens after midnight, for delivery services only.

The CDC has provided recommendations on the cleaning and disinfection of rooms or areas occupied by those with suspected or with confirmed COVID-19. “Safer at Home” Order
The City of Miami Beach issued a “Safer at Home” Emergency Order, requiring all persons living in the city to remain in their homes to the maximum extent possible.


Condominium Recommendations 

  • Maintain high-traffic areas and frequently touched surfaces clean and disinfected.

  • Limit the number of people getting into each elevator car. Encourage residents to ride elevators only with their own party, wait for the next empty elevator car, or take the stairs.

  • Keep a list of all elderly and/or disabled residents who may require periodic wellness checks.

  • Discourage unessential visitors.

  • Encourage that all residents follow the city’s mandated curfew hours, which is 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. each day, until further notice.
