Virtual Summer Open House
Learn about all RVCC has to offer and how to enroll for Summer and Fall Semester classes at the College's Virtual Summer Open House, June 23, at 6 p.m.
The webinar is designed for high school students and adults who are interested in pursuing a college degree or certificate at RVCC. College students who are interested in taking summer classes at RVCC or enrolling for the Fall Semester are welcome to participate. Hear from admissions and financial aid specialists, current students and alumni as you learn about:
* Enrolling in classes for the Summer and Fall Semesters, including online summer classes beginning July 6
* The College's innovative academic programs designed to help students transfer to top colleges and universities
* Career training programs, designed in partnership with local industry
* Financial aid options, including scholarships, loans and grants
* Fee tuition for those who qualify, though RVCC's participation in the New Jersey Community College Opportunity Grant (CCOG) Program

Jumpstart Program for High School Students
RVCC's Jumpstart College Program allows high school rising juniors and seniors to jumpstart their college education by taking affordable, online summer classes at RVCC, earn credits, and smoothly transition from high school to college. Classes begin July 6.

All-State Academic Team
In recognition of their commitment to scholarship, leadership and service, RVCC students Nigora Ganieva of Bedminster Township and Noah Motz of Whitehouse Station have been named to the 2020 New Jersey All-State Academic Team.
The RVCC students join a group of 38 community college students from across the state recognized by the New Jersey Council of County Colleges for this honor.

RV Lives Launching Soon
The RVCC Foundation will be launching a new fundraising campaign later this month called "RV Lives." This effort is 100% dedicated to raising much-needed funds for our students who, now more than ever, need our help. As you might expect, many RVCC students and their families have lost work and are struggling to afford tuition, rent, food, and other basic living expenses. Some are reassessing their immediate plans for the future. With your support, we can assist with these critical needs and help our students maintain progress along their educational journeys.

Recycling Award
RVCC has received two regional awards from the EPA for its recycling efforts. The WasteWise award recognized RVCC for recycling over 100 tons of materials, tripling the College's previous year's diversion numbers.
The EPA also awarded RVCC a Food Recovery Challenge award in recognition of the College composting 7.65 tons of organic waste and recycling 1.63 tons of fat, oil and grease from the cafeteria's kitchen. Additional collection bins were deployed in lounge areas across campus, and Student Life ensured that food waste was collected at student events.

Summer Tech Camps
RVCC, in partnership with Black Rocket, is offering online summer programs for kids and teens ages 8-14. Classes focus on such areas as game design, interactive storytelling, Minecraft, Pokémon, JavaScript, eSports, video game animation, virtual reality, YouTube content creation, and more.

The RVCC Planetarium has a number of online resources for educators, students and the public to enjoy--from astronomy news, to podcasts from NASA's Johnson Space Center, to YouTube channels featuring information about the Hubble Space Telescope and learning about the sky.
