The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Education will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at 7:30 p.m. in the District Board room.  Much of the meeting involves action by the Board on annual compliance and operational matters, such as public hearings on the sufficiency of textbooks and instructional materials and disclosure of collective bargaining agreements, as well as authorizations for and certification of routine financial transactions and reports.  In addition, the Board will address the following agenda items:

• International Youth Tobacco Control -- San Marino High School students will make a presentation about this student-run organization designed to educate students and the larger community about the harms of tobacco, including vaping.
• Civility Policy -- After incorporating input from Board and community members, Dr. Wilson will present a Civility Board Policy for Board approval.
• Pool Use Agreement -- Assistant Superintendent Julie Boucher will present a renewal agreement with the City of San Marino for use of the pool at San Marino High School for Board approval.
• Unaudited Actuals Financial Report -- Every year in September, the Board is presented with an Unaudited Financial Report that provides the actual financial reports of activities in all District funds for the prior fiscal year. The report includes all sources of revenues, prior year carry over balances and expenditures by type or classification. Each year, these unaudited financial reports will be submitted to an independent audit firm for auditing purposes.  Typically, the Board will receive an official audit report from the independent audit firm in January.  For more information about the multiple public financial reports that the Board receives throughout the year, please click here.
