Boat of the Month : Salty Britches
Fountaine Pajot Helia 44' : 3 cabins, 3 heads
Coming in November 2020
True comfort cruising is what the Fountaine Pajot Helia 44, Salty Britches, offers among yacht charters in the Abacos. Helia means “sunshine” in Greek, and Salty Britches offers many design features that allow guests to experience the magical Bahamian light. The large windows surrounding the main salon, as well as the plentiful, large hatches in the cabins, fill the boat with light. The lounge up top, adjacent to the flybridge, gives guests an area to catch some rays on the sun pad, or simply enjoy the 360-degree views from the bench seating. Reclined seating on the foredeck or lounging on the trampoline create an exciting encounter with nature while sailing along. The large, outdoor seating area aft features a large table where most meals and entertaining are enjoyed. The aft lounge table is also a popular place for drinks and games at day’s end, where the soft breezes, quiet sounds and tropical scents of paradise linger. The aft lounge and cockpit area flow freely through sliding glass doors into the air-conditioned inner salon and galley.  A comfortable settee and table invite quiet respite to read, chat, watch tv or relax. The extensive master suite encompasses the entire starboard side of the boat, with a large queen bed, sitting area with TV, and a private bath with separate walk-in shower. This is an ideal set-up for couples seeking a vacation to celebrate a honeymoon or anniversary. Complete privacy is ensured with a sliding door, closing the suite into its own luxurious oasis. The port side features two queen cabins, one forward and one aft. Both feature their own private ensuite bathroom with a walk in shower. The cabins are separated by a hallway running the length of the boat to ensure quiet and serenity for each room. The forward port cabin opens into a forward v-berth bed – perfect for families with three children. This room can become a safe “kids haven” on board, with a parent cabin down the hall.Salty Britches offers a beautifully efficient, well equipped galley with large multi-drawer refrigerator and freezer, microwave and French coffee press. She boasts a propane BBQ grill, standard U.S. plugs (110 volt system), hot and cold pressure water throughout, fresh water transom shower, genset and three air conditioners. This Helia 44 is fully equipped with a GPS, auto pilot, chart plotter, electric anchor windlass, electric primary winch, dingy davits and a hard bottom RIB inflatable dinghy with outboard motor.Salty Britches is the epitome of pure beauty and comfort. The brilliant style of Fountain Pajot’s Helia 44 makes for a perfect vacation for couples, families, or a trip with dear friends.
