"I Love Public Schools" Day in Nebraska was Wednesday, January 29th. We are proud to be the public school that serves our wonderful communities of Valley and Waterloo. Did you know that some of our students also live in Omaha, Millard, Yutan, Gretna, Elkhorn, Fremont, Bennington, Arlington and Mead? EVERY student that makes the choice to join the family at DC West is a student we serve with complete commitment and dedication. Thanks for being a part of our school family at DC West, proudly representing public schools!

DC West Elementary Presents
Disney Musical
The Aristocats Kids
|
Fifty-one DC West fourth and fifth grade students performed "The Aristocats Kids", our third Disney Musical, January 16-18th. Rehearsals began early fall to get the show perfected. Dawn Beyl and Kaitlin Beck, elementary music teachers, directed the musical with assistant director, Connie Rance. Kaitlin Beck stated, "The students in our program have grown musically and have been empowered to be more confident leaders on the stage and in the classroom. It's been so fun to watch them grow in their confidence, acting and singing skills and learning to work together as a team!"

DC West School Accreditation Visit
|
On February 4th and 5th, a team of well respected educators from across the state of Nebraska will visit DC West Community Schools for our five year accreditation visit. This team will be interviewing administration, Board members, parents, students, staff, and community members in order to understand our level of commitment to continuous improvement. The strategic plan, which includes our mission, strategies, and beliefs are critical to our work at DC West.
