"Great flavors!" was the comment after the new season of "Farm to Table Thursdays" kicked off at the Wallace House. Doing Good in the Garden
WCI will grow and donate 10,000 pounds of sweet potatoes to the Food Bank of Iowa in 2019. This "Garden for Good" will help food-insecure Iowans access more locally-grown produce and eat more healthfully.

You can assist in 2 ways: help in the garden or provide financial support. Each Monday during the growing season, volunteers will work 10 am to noon to help plant, weed or harvest. Contact Lisa to get on the volunteer email list for later details. Cash contributions are needed to cover the expenses of seed, equipment, and labor. If you'd like to be a "Garden for Good" sponsor, please email Ann.
Leadership Lunches
Deborah is pulling the last details together for these always thought-provoking discussions--and she's got something new in the works! Watch for news the week of April 8 and be ready to book your table!
Friday Lunches start May 10
Make sure you plan at least one trip to the Country Life Center this season for Friday Lunch. Chef Sarah Mathiews will be in the kitchen each week, turning the fresh produce from the garden into tasty menu items. Lisa handles the front of the house so contact her for reservations or call 641.337.5019.
