He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge;
     his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart ."
- Psalm 91:4
The coronovirus pandemic has filled many of us with fear and uncertainty. But one thing we know for sure: God is still on the throne! We thought we would share this beautiful prayer our campus pastor in Ann Arbor wrote.

“Father, worry and fear are not of Your heart. 1 John 4 reminds us that perfect love casts out all fear, and we pray Your perfect love upon the hearts of all those who are burdened with fear of this virus. Lord, we know with no doubt that You are bigger than the threat of anything, especially illnesses. Please comfort those who are living in fear, please free them from the bondage that anxiety creates within. Remind them that You are still on the Throne and that You are still in control. Fully rain down the serenity that comes only from the Prince of Peace. Help those who are living in unease to trust You in this time so that in times to come we may rest assured that You will be faithful to be with us until the end of age. We rest at the Throne of the Almighty such fears and cast them upon You (1 Peter 5:7), for Your burden is Light and Your Yoke is easy (Matthew 11:30), and we know You cover us with Your wings (Psalm 91:4). We pray all of this in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

God bless you with His everlasting love.
Can you spare some time
for your alma mater?

  • This is a critical time of year in our new student recruitment cycle! Due to COVID-19, our Admitted Student Day event in April had to be cancelled. We need 15-20 volunteers willing to call prospective student families that have expressed an intention to attend Concordia in the fall. The volunteers will share their enthusiasm for their Concordia experience through the call. Scripts and instruction will be provided.
  • 1 volunteer needed for each of the following Orientation Days - June 8, 12, 15, 22, 26 and August 7. Come represent your Alumni Association and connect with students and parents. (time TBD)
New bill extends similar GI bill benefits to Wisconsin’s private and independent colleges
After eight years of active duty in the U.S. Air Force, Moriah White is on her way to graduating with a double major in Social Work and Human Behavior and Development from CUW. She’s still sorting out what she wants to do with her degrees, but she knows she wants to empower families and children to find their way through tough situations; perhaps by starting her own non-profit or by working in a school setting. Thanks to a bill signed by Gov. Tony Evers, White, who will graduate in May 2021, will be able to go on to pursue her master’s (a requisite degree for most careers in the social work field) without landing herself in debt. Spanish certificate to give health care professionals leg up
A certificate in Spanish for health care professionals is being introduced by CUW so students can enhance their degree in one of the world's fastest growing foreign languages. This 15-credit certificate set to begin in the fall is being tailored so that graduates will be linguistically and culturally prepared to interact with Hispanic patients in their career. Read more here .
