FROM THE CITY OF MONTEREY
COVID-19 Local Update - in Brief
June 4, 2020
The Small Business Relief Fund and Local Business Recovery
While public health is of primary importance, economic recovery continues to be an urgent focus as well to help our community heal from the devastating impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. The City of Monterey is proud to be able to divert $500,000 from the Parking Fund, and $500,000 from the Tidelands Fund to mobilize a local relief fund for the many vital local businesses that help define Monterey and bring us the quality of life we cherish. There's an opportunity to leverage the program. Anyone interested in donating to the Small Business Relief Fund can do so through the Community Foundation. In this unprecedented time, you can donate a tax-deductible contribution to a non-profit that then distributes to local small businesses in need.
Businesses can apply for the relief fund at www.montereychamber.com/apply
