BIA|Bay Area has received an advance copy of a draft 650-page regional conservation plan that encompasses Alameda and Contra Costa counties. The East Bay Regional Conservation Investment Strategy (RCIS) identifies lands eligible for voluntary participation in a pending mitigation conservation agreement program governed by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife., Once adopted, the RCIS will allow landowners and developers to voluntarily enter into mitigation conservation agreements (MCAs) with the state, and regulatory agencies may allow the exchanges to satisfy project mitigation requirements. Full Story
The City of San Jose adopted its 2019 Council Policy Priority List at its March 5th 2019 council hearing. Two new Priority items of interest to the development community include Priority #13: Universal Development Fee and Priority #16: Updating the Council's current Wage Theft Policy.  Full Story

Successful Paint Day
Thank you Pulte Homes for organizing a successful Paint Day to paint the remodeled walls at the HomeFirst James Boccardo Center in San Jose! Pulte employees transformed the reception area into a bright new space and added a wall to create a separate sleeping area for the homeless veterans! On to the bathroom remodel with XL Construction. The Center houses 250 homeless men and women each night and Pulte and XL Construction are donating over $300,000 worth of repairs for a more dignified and welcoming space.
