Report on Statewide Investigation and Diocesan Response
In October 2018, the former Florida Attorney General announced an investigation of the State’s seven Catholic Dioceses to determine how allegations of sexual abuse of minors by clergy have been handled. We welcomed the State’s investigation and we cooperated fully with the process instituted to research past cases of abuse allegations, dating back prior to 1968 when the Diocese of St. Petersburg was established. Investigators have now issued a report of their inquiry, which can be viewed by clicking here

The official statement from the Diocese of St. Petersburg concerning the report can be found at this link.

Catholic Foundation Launches Donor-Advised Fund
The Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of St. Petersburg is proud and excited to announce the launch of the new Catholic Foundation Donor-Advised Fund – just in time for National Philanthropy Day on November 15th!

Donor-advised funds are widely recognized as one, if not THE, most popular charitable giving tool today, and the Catholic Foundation Donor-Advised Fund is an incredible opportunity for our parishioners to organize all charitable giving through a simplified system.

To learn how you and your parishioners can bring ministry to life through the new Catholic Foundation Donor-Advised Fund, please visit cfdaf.org or contact the Catholic Foundation by email daf@catholicfoundation.org. And if you would like to download resources to share this information with your parishioners through your bulletin, email or mailings, please visit this link.
For the Faithful Departed
Let us keep the souls and the families of the faithful departed in our prayers:

  • Julia Rebel, niece of Rev. Patrick Rebel, Pastor of St. Joan of Arc Parish, Spring Hill

May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God rest in peace!
