Tips for Supporting Infants and Young Children's Transition as we Reopen
Resource was Shared by PTAN
Check out this excellent resource from the Wisconsin Alliance for Infant Mental Health. Please share this tip sheet with teachers and colleagues to help prepare them for children returning to your programs. It may also be helpful to share with families as a way of communicating your concern and preparation in welcoming them back to your program.
This tip sheet alerts teachers to possible changes they may observe in children's behavior, emotions, and social interactions. It also offers some very specific tips and strategies to support children’s transition back to child care.
PTAN can assist with this transition - the purpose of their services is to provide teachers professional development through consultation that results in the successful inclusion of a child or children. Feel free to reach out to the PTAN Child Care Inclusion Project by calling (603) 206-6833 or
