Toronto Spring Motorcycle Show to Host Largest Indoor Collection of Classic and Vintage Motorcycles

30th Annual Spring Motorcycle Show Honours Original Roots with Classic and Vintage Motorcycle Display by Esteemed Clubs in Ontario.

Toronto Ontario (28 March 2019) –  The 30th edition of the Toronto Motorcycle Spring Show presented by RidersPlus Insurance, 6 - 7 April at Toronto International Centre - for motorcyclists by motorcyclists - will host Canada’s largest indoor exhibit and collection of classic and vintage motorcycles.

The anniversary of the show’s 30 th year pays tribute to its classic motorcycle roots with the first ever “Classic and Vintage Motorcycle Club Exhibit and Competition”. The exhibit includes some of the most renowned vintage motorcycle clubs. They will feature some of their owners' best classics as well as working together to present a unique theme for their individual exhibits. The “Ton Up Toronto” club features a “1960’s/70’s Rockers Garage/Workshop” theme; Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group (Old Fort York Chapter) with the “15 of our Finest” theme; the Vincent Owner’s Club with “Vincent Speed Records” theme and Renaissance Racing Team with “Vintage Motorcycle Racing” just to name a few.

All motorcycles displayed must be 30 years old or more to meet the exhibits requirements and additional points in the winning judging will be based on the following criteria:
  • Quality of the motorcycles
  • Quantity of motorcycles in the theme display
  • Presentation/display.

There will be three winners announced at the show on Sunday 7 April. One in each of the following categories:
  • Category 1: Fifteen Bikes Or More: $2000. Prize and the “Bar Hodgson Classic Cup”.
  • Category 2: Ten Bikes Or More: $1000. Prize
  • Category 3: Five Bikes Or More: $500. Prize

“This will be the largest gathering of vintage and classic motorcycles in our 30 year history, and probably larger than any other motorcycle show. Major vintage clubs have pulled out all the stops to put on extremely involved and impressive theme displays to show our audience what they are all about. Some with 15 to 20 bikes, and some replicating their motorcycle workshops. There’s also our ever popular 'Classics on the Red Carpet’ display showcasing elite and rare motorcycles, from original to restored condition, representing the history and evolution of motorcycles over the past 100 years.” said Bar Hodgson, Show Producer.

Some of the most exciting and attention-grabbing motorcycles can be seen first-hand by the show’s visitors. Such rarities as a 1922 Ner-A-Car; the Norton 750 Landspeed Commando; 1975 Honda CR125M Flat Track Racer (first year production), and the 1976 BMW R90S Daytona which won the first ever Daytona Superbike race.
