Corned Beef and Cabbage

It's not quite winter, but it's not quite spring and for many that means it's time to cook that quintessential Irish-American dish.
A Note from Michelle

Hello friends! WOW! What a couple of months it has been! Since coming on board in November, a lot has been happening around our office and Thrift Store! We've reinstated our sale days  and inventory "dot" system in the Thrift Store. We donated a couple of couches and chairs (that had been in the store for a bit) to our friends at UCP Modesto and Turlock for their Day Program  members. We also donated household hardware supplies to Habitat for Humanity's Restore because that's where people go for hardware! And we are bringing some hygiene items to our  friends at the Shower Shuttle. So not only does our Thrift Store benefit Society's programs and services, our surplus also enables us to help other community organizations! Thanks for  bringing donations in! We are in need of items all the time, so don't forget us when you're spring cleaning- spring is coming!

Snowfest 2019 was a success because of all of the support from our fundraisers, volunteers and participants. We've raised approx. $40,000 and should have a solid total next week, as  we have some pending donations that just came in to be processed! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Pacific Southwest Container generously donated 5 computers to our office staff- much appreciated! We also received a couple of grants over the last few months, so we are looking
good!  Our 2019 Wild West Gala: Jeans and Jewels had to be moved up from our usual October slot because of conflicts with our venue. But we are all set for SATURDAY, SEPT 28th at the DURRER  BARN! I can't wait for read more...

Our staff recently took photos for marketing materials and photography was generously donated by Rachel Loredo Photography

Night to Shine
On February 8, 2019 our community came together at Shelter Cove Church here in Modesto for a fabulous night of food, dancing and great fun for the 2nd annual Night to Shine Prom in Modesto.

Society partnered with Renew Church and Shelter Cove to once again host Night to Shine, a special needs prom sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation. We at Society want to say THANK YOU to each and every volunteer who helped to make this an amazing night for all of our honored Kings and Queens. Without your help, we wouldn't have been able to pull this off. We can't wait to see you next year!
