Update from Hyundai/Genesis Regarding Dealer Agreements

Dear WANADA Members,

I wanted to make sure that you were aware of the attached note that Hyundai Motor America sent to its Hyundai and Genesis dealer principals. In the letter, HMA told dealers that "any closures or cessations of normal sales and/or service operations pursuant to local, state, or federal government mandate will not be considered to be in conflict with your Dealer Sales and Service Agreement."

We are hopeful that HMA's decision will spur other OEMs to send similar notices, which we believe would provide dealers with some relief, and also a solution to one of our most pressing questions as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to unfold.
