Community Invited to Police Strategic Planning Meetings
Menlo Park’s police department prides itself on providing our community with innovative solutions and best practices in the delivery of our law enforcement and related services. The department is embarking on a strategic plan initiative, which will be the roadmap in our continuous quest for a collaborative, transparent and trusting relationship with the many facets of the community we serve.

The strategic plan initiative will involve both internal and external stakeholder input. We will be hosting three facilitated stakeholder meetings for the public to attend and contribute their thoughts and priorities for the future direction of the police department. The dates and locations for these meetings are:

  • Saturday, March 7, 10 to 11:30 am – Upper Laurel School Atrium, 275 Elliott Drive

  • Saturday, March 21, 10 to 11:30 am – La Entrada Middle School, 2200 Sharon Road

Openings in Advisory Commissions and Committees
Menlo Park welcomes and encourages residents' active participation through serving on a City-appointed Commission or Committee. Commissions examine issues of community interest and make recommendations to the City Council on policy matters. Each commission reviews specific subjects and carries out assignments as directed by the City Council or as prescribed by law. Each Commission establishes an annual work plan that is in line with the City Council's goals, which guides the commissions' activities and projects.

Here you can find a list of all the upcoming vacancies for City commissions and committees. Applications are being accepted through 5 pm on April 3 . Apply Now!
