The Road Less Traveled

I never gave up hope that they would turn up. And when they did, the sense of  relief was overwhelming.

Let me back up. Nearly a year and a half ago Melissa and the kids and I took a  New Year's cruise to the Caribbean. We had a great time and visited some of  our favorite spots. On two of...

AUMC Shout Out  To....

Our Aledo UMC 2020 graduating Seniors!  It's been an unusual senior year, but you're making it!  We are all so very proud of you.  CONGRATULATIONS!
A Message from AUMC's Leadership Team

After a lot of communication together and with the current recommendations from the Governor, the CDC, and the Bishop, we have collectively come to the decision that we will not be able to open back up for in-person worship before May 31st. That date is not a guarantee, but a hopeful goal.

We simply do not feel it would it would be safe or appropriate, given all the guidelines we were being asked to follow, to try to have in-person worship at this time.  We are working hard to have a plan in place, using the given guidelines, so that when we can open for in-person worship everything needed is in place to keep our church family together and safe.

We hope you will continue to support the church financially during these difficult days and that you continue to join us for online worship, as well as Sunday School, daily devotionals, and more as our amazing AUMC staff continues working hard to keep our faith growing together virtually as one church family.

Stay safe and God Bless!

Stay Connected With Your Aledo UMC Family

Aledo UMC  has heeded the warnings from health officials and temporarily closed the church offices for the foreseeable future. We are still the church, so here are several ways for our AUMC family to stay connected through the week:

Sunday
10 am - Adult Sunday school - Facebook Live (Aledo UMC Page)
11 am - Worship - Facebook and aledoumc.org

Wednesday
6 pm -  "Unintended Consequences"  - Facebook Live (Aledo UMC Page)

Thursday
10 am - Dialogos Bible study - Zoom (contact Pastor Lee to join the class)

Weekdays
Aledo UMC Morning Devotional - Aledo UMC Facebook page
Children's Moments - Aledo UMC Children's Ministries Facebook page
Electronic Giving

As we move into virtual worship and other gatherings for the foreseeable future, now is a great time to connect with online giving to ensure that the ministries and outreach of the church are not interrupted.
There are two basic ways to give electronically, and both are quick and simple.
  1. The best option is to give via a direct transfer from your checking account. This is fee-free for you and the church. Simply fill out the accompanying ACH form and send it in to the church office along with a voided check. You can mail it to Aledo UMC, PO Box 126, Aledo, TX 76008.
  2. Or you can text "aledoumc" to 77977. This will connect you to a service called PushPay, which will allow you to give electronically to the church using either a credit card or debit card. You will receive a text back with instructions guiding you through setting up your gift. You can give either a one-time gift or set up weekly or monthly giving through PushPay.
