Serving this Summer in Guatemala
...Two CPI Teams on Mission for Jesus Christ
This Summer has been a busy one here at the ministry of Caring Partners International. In June, two medical mission teams served on the field in Guatemala. The first team ministered with our national church partner in downtown Guatemala City. This church is where our ministry has a long-standing child sponsorship program, which has now developed into an after-school program staffed by the young adults of the Guatemalan church.

The program has reached many children in the community, including young Angelo, who worked alongside of the medical providers, escorting patients between each of the clinic's healthcare stations. Through the sponsorship program, Angelo has come to faith in Christ, and the medical clinic gave him his first opportunity to serve alongside his new Guatemalan church family. What a blessing for our U.S. mission team to witness Angelo's devotion to the Lord and to his new church!

The second CPI mission team served in an area southeast of Guatemala City, in the town of Veramina, in the shadow of the Pacaya volcano. The team partnered with Dr. Fernando & Schwanda Marroquin and the local pastor Miguel and his wife Nevis. At the conclusion of the medical clinic, a special Sunday service was held, celebrating the beginnings of Pastor Miguel & Nevis' ministry at their church plant in Veramina.

Over the two weeks spent in Guatemala, the Caring Partners medical mission teams treated hundreds of patients, and 103 of those men, women, and children made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ, expanding God's Kingdom through the ministry efforts of local Guatemalan churches. To God be the glory - great things He has done!

“Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” Matthew 28:19
