EPA offers $44M in clean diesel grants
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is offering up to $44 million in grant funding under its Diesel Emissions Reductions Act (DERA) grant program. The EPA is soliciting applications for projects that achieve significant reductions in diesel emissions, particularly from fleets operating in areas with poor air quality. Full story

Kenworth, Dana collaborate on electric truck development
Kenworth and Dana Inc. say they are collaborating on electric powertrain development for medium-duty Kenworth battery EVs. The zero-emissions Kenworth K270E cab-over truck is equipped with a Dana-designed e-powertrain system that is fully integrated and compatible with the Kenworth chassis.  Full story

Peterbilt advancing EV program
Peterbilt says it already has completed nearly 40,000 real-world miles with its fleet of 16 battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) as it embarks on a partnership with Dana to develop an electric powertrain for the 220EV medium-duty truck. Full story

California DMV OKs light-duty autonomous delivery vehicles
California has authorized the testing and commercial use of light-duty autonomous delivery vehicles on public roads. The California Department of Motor Vehicles announced that, with an approved permit from the department, companies can operate autonomous delivery vehicles weighing fewer than 10,001 pounds.
