Outcry Hosts First Play Reading, May 31
Going to the theatre is temporarily on pause, but that doesn't mean enjoying live art has to stop. To bring a little light to the community, Outcry Theatre is presenting its first ever play reading at 7:30 p.m. May 30! The play,
History or Why We Killed Mr. Pendleton, was written by Outcry co-founder Jason Johnson-Spinos. The Zoom-hosted reading will be streamed live to YouTube free of charge.
History is about four very different high school seniors, who just want to finish out the year, when they get assigned to complete a group project for their history class. Their weekly assignments from the mysteriously absent Mr. Pendleton get stranger and stranger, and tensions rise within the group. The students must face old grudges, new crushes, explosive secrets and forgotten memories, before making a decision that will change all of their lives....
