Dear River Forest Residents,

Sure signs of summer are days at the pool and vacations, but it’s also a time when roadwork and other construction projects can be found around town. These projects are vitally important to ensure our infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks and sewers, is maintained and fortified for the future. To learn more about these projects and to view an interactive map of where they are, or will be occurring, click here

If you’re looking for information about events around the Village, visit the Community Calendar at RFHappenings.com. This is where you will find a calendar of activities sponsored by the Village, school districts 90 and 200, as well as River Forest Park District, Township and Library District.

With the weather forecasted to reach into the 90s this weekend, please be sure to stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and limit sun exposure for vulnerable populations, including young children, senior citizens and pets. Also, please check in on your neighbors, especially those that are living alone.

I hope you’re enjoying your summer!

Sincerely,
Cathy Adduci, Village President
