COVID-19 Season Update
The staff of Theatre Tallahassee has been assessing the COVID-19 situation and planning for the future.  Our goal is to re-design our remaining 2019-2020 season and upcoming 2020-2021 season for our artists, staff, audiences, and community while keeping everyone safe.  We thank you for your patience as we navigate these challenging and uncharted waters.

The recommended guidelines for large gatherings and sanitation strategies for reopening an auditorium space safely by the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization will take a large amount of planning, time, and money. We want to create the safest space for success in the future. Therefore, Theatre Tallahassee has made the difficult decision to suspend all remaining three shows for its 2019-20 season.

What does all this mean?
If you are a 2019-20 subscriber with tickets to  Becky’s New Car, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder,  or  Plaza Suite,  we encourage you to donate your unused tickets to the theatre to help support the theatre during this critical time.  For any theatre, any loss of revenue is a significant concern, and the unfortunate cancellation of these shows will have real financial consequences for our theater. Many theaters nationwide will not survive the economic impact that this pandemic has caused, and we are doing everything we can to make sure we emerge stable and safe.  We are so very grateful for our loyal Theatre Tallahassee patrons. If you choose to support the theater by donating your unused tickets, you will receive a tax-deductible donation letter for your generosity. To donate your tickets, you don’t need to do anything; we will automatically convert your tickets to a donation on June 30,   2020.

If you wish not to donate your tickets, we can issue you a credit on your account for the full ticket amount minus fees to be used towards any Theatre Tallahassee individual shows or special events until through the end of next season, June 30, 2021. 

We understand that this is a difficult time for many individuals; people have lost employment or suffered reduced hours, the theater staff included, so we will issue a refund for unused tickets if requested.   Due to the end of our fiscal year in June, we need your request for a refund by June 21, 2020.   

To request a credit or refund, please email the Box Office at  boxoffice@theatretallahassee.org  or mail us at Theatre Tallahassee, 1861 Thomasville Road, Tallahassee, FL 32303. Due to the Box Office not being staffed currently, phone calls for credit or refunds  will not  be accepted.
