Communities and organizations are invited to apply for funding to host Alberta Culture Days events to showcase their arts, heritage, diversity and community spirit. Alberta Culture Days will be held September 27-29, 2019.

Grants are open to cultural organizations, non-profit groups, venues and facilities, school and community groups, First Nation and Métis settlements, and post-secondary institutions. Eligible community organizations can apply for one of the following:

• up to $10,000 for three days of programming as a Feature Celebration Site
• up to $5,000 for two days of programming as a Host Celebration Site
• up to $1,000 for one day of programming as a Pop Up Celebration Site

The deadline to apply is April 4.

Aging service providers strive to address older adults' behavioral health needs in community settings and there are evidence-based programs that can help. This webinar will overview two U.S. programs that address depression among older adults, PEARLs and Healthy IDEAS, and how they can be implemented to address mental health needs and reduce barriers to participation in other activities. Best practices for pairing evidence-based behavioral health programs with services focused on chronic disease self-management education or physical activity will also be discussed.

This part time position is responsible for providing education and support to individuals making application for Guardianship, Trusteeship and other Co-Decision making options, of a dependent adult. This is provided through one on one support, group presentations or telephone support. In addition, the position will provide public education sessions regarding Personal Directives and Power of Attorney.

Qualifications of this position include a Human Services Degree or Diploma and experience or a familiarity with legal documents. Equivalencies will be considered. A clear criminal record check is required.
